Western Kentucky along the New Madrid faults are susceptible to low seismic activity at a Slip rate < 2 mm per year and severe wind speeds due to tornados. The steel used in our Kentucky Pre-engineered steel arch buildings is Galvalume 80,000ksi tensile yield carbon steel coated with aluminum-zinc alloy with the addition of silicon. Steel arch panels have a 7½" deep corrugation and are engineered for maximum strength.
Corrosion resistant, superior strength high Grade 8 bolts are included with our Kentucky building kits. The superior coating on the bolts is 10 times more rust resistant than standard commercial hardware when tested in a 1000 hour salt spray test.
